Due to launch in April 2021, Dermalogica has accelerated the industry-wide launch of its Aspire Award to support undergraduate apprentice therapists whose training and career progression has been halted due to COVID-19. In line with National Apprenticeship Week’s theme, Building the Future, Dermalogica has taken swift action to open their popular undergraduate programme to apprentices and students not studying with a Dermalogica Partnership College, to provide enriching education opportunities. As a company steeped in education and committed to skills-based training, Dermalogica recognizes the importance of keeping connected with skills and strengthening knowledge even when you are not able to get hands-on due to lockdowns and restrictions. With many employers needing to keep their apprentices engaged and moving forward, this programme of education which is usually reserved for Dermalogica Partner Colleges provides valuable industry relevant insights, best practice reinforcement and the chance to broaden skills. What is the Dermalogica Partnership Programme? Dermalogica’s College Partnership Programme is a broad series of workshops, webinars, awards and schemes typically available to colleges partnering with Dermalogica as their professional skin care brand. Dermalogica have seen how challenging it has been for training providers, employers, apprentices and students to adapt and complete qualifications at this time, and wanted to provide a motivating and engaging reconnection to our fantastic industry to ensure that they continue their journey to becoming fully fledged therapists. With intention to make the full programme available to all Beauty Therapy students and apprentices later in the year, they have been spurred on to open up for National Apprenticeship Week and will continue to provide ongoing education to all undergraduates studying beauty therapy, advanced beauty therapy and related courses. What does it provide? The comprehensive programme offers workshops mapped to key curriculum topics and the chance to achieve the Aspire Award that recognises commitment to your ongoing learning. Attending 4 or more of the series of 8 workshops culminates in achieving the Aspire Award. The Aspire Award also unlocks more education with the Enhanced Employability Series, focused modules on key trending areas considered critical for employers.
- Access to eight 60-minute live streamed workshops including Daily Skin Regimens, ProSkin Treatments, Face Mapping and Confident Consultations.
- Aspire Award achievers unlock the Enhanced Employability Series including modules on Client Care Practices, Customer Led Skin Care, Virtual Services and Men’s Skin Care.
- All training is certificated and a great addition to any CV.
The programme also offers the Ready to Work scheme for graduates, providing access to Dermalogica’s 4-day Dermalogica DNA brand training on all product and services, usually reserved for account holders and their staff. In addition to this apprentices and students can also access Dermalogica’s Enhanced Service Safety (Clean Touch Certification) and Meaningful Connections (Emotional Intelligence) e-learning training through the site.
